The Village of Lansing held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new multi-million dollar Fox Pointe entertainment venue located at 18138 Henry Street on Friday, September 28th. A crowd of approximately 250 people braved the chilly and slightly rainy weather to join in the festivities. Numerous state and local officials including Senator Elgie Sims, Representative Marcus Evans, Jr., Representative Nick Smith, Thornton Township Supervisor Frank Zuccarelli, and Burnham Mayor Robert Polk joined Lansing Mayor Patty Eidam and the Village Board in the ceremony. Food and cocktails from several Lansing vendors were available to patrons and music from the energetic band The Crawpuppies was also provided. This is just the beginning as Lansing looks to make Fox Pointe an exciting destination for Lansing residents as well as others from around the region.
